The Over-rated-not-so-holidayish day.

Valentine's. SIGH. To quote Freddie (am totally over this dude, OK.), 'No money, no honey.' Went totally --.--. Ya. You get my point. Not that his perception is wrong. Well, that's just personal opinion. Almost every February 14, I sort of write an article about this (dreaded?) day.

I have been single almost all my life. Frankly, I have so gotten used to this independent lifestyle, I get cold feet at the thought of someone else barging into my super mould-into life. It might be exciting. But seeing my attached girlfriends going through the torment and torture of their guys (having the inability to comply to requests etc); I do feel happier. Ok. Its true that almost everyone needs someone. I believe that. So. Am so not going to do anything on purpose. Just let it flow.

Enough on the 'love' thingy. Valentine's. Yup. OVER-RATED, OVERLY COMMERCIALIZED. What I feel is, does February 14 have to be the day one celebrates Valentine's? And isn't Valentine's the day where people celebrate love? Why has LOVE confide to BGR? When the Beatles sang LOVE, they meant it for the world. 爱心. It means love too.

Why I write about February 14? Imagine the people around me going on and on about getting dates for me on that day. Am fine meeting new people. Just irritated by that look on their faces when their intentions are hoping for the relationship to turn non-platonic. And why must it be on VDay? Other days are not auspicious days? ~Puzzled.
